Ingredients

  • 2 oz non-alcoholic whiskey substitute (such as Lyre’s American Malt)
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz honey-ginger syrup (made by combining equal parts honey and water, and adding grated ginger to taste)
  • 1/4 oz Islay Scotch substitute (such as Seedlip Spice 94)

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Add the non-alcoholic whiskey substitute, fresh lemon juice, and honey-ginger syrup.
  3. Shake well to combine.
  4. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  5. Gently float the Islay Scotch substitute on top of the drink.
  6. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a piece of candied ginger, if desired.
